Ultrasound
The use of imaging, radiology or ultrasound, is helpful in diagnosing problems. Radiology produces 2 dimensional black and white images of bones, chest and abdominal organs. It is helpful to visualize fractures, hip dysplasia, pneumonia, foreign objects, intestinal blockages, kidney and bladder stones. Safety for your pet and our staff is assured with annual certification of our equipment and proper protective lead gear and lead lined walls. Ultrasound is a very useful tool that sends harmless waves through the body cavities. Anesthesia and sedation are generally unnecessary for radiology and ultrasound procedures.
